Election Watch Part I: Hugo Helps Evo

The December election in Bolivia promises to be a critical one for the region. Chavez has done his part by hosting the leading lights of the loony left had them come to terms in order to create a united front . Evo is set to be the presidential candidate and Alvaro Garcia Linera, an associate of Evo's rival Felipe Quispe. Quispe runs another freak show called Pachakutec Indigenous Movement (MIP). Did I mention that the erstwhile VP candidate faces legal charges involving past activity with the terrorist Tupac Katari Guerrilla Army (EGTK)? The moderate right is currently divided and fielding a number of candidates so it is possible for the extreme left to eek out a plurality.
