The UN Does Good in Lebanon

Some of you probably thought that I would never have anything nice to say about the UN, but here I am showing that I am in fact fair. The UN team investigating the murder of former Lebanese PM Rafik al-Hariri questioned 5 suspects and turned them over to Lebanese investigators. Not so surprisingly all 5 have close ties with Syria. According to WaPost the suspects were "a top aide to pro-Syrian President Emile Lahoud, three former security chiefs and a former member of parliament close to Damascus." The former MP, "staunch Syria ally Nassir Qandil", was eventually released. The Lebanese have 48 hours to decide if they want to press charges against the remaining 4 suspects.
