Whither Bush Doctrine?

Remember that whole "with us or against us" thing? The idea that if you harbor terrorists that you are with the terrorists? The Brits believe that the Revolutionary Guard of Iran is helping out Moqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army, so what are we going to do about it? Obviously nothing because we are stretched too thin and are incapable of going after Iran. Iran, Syria and N. Korea can poke, prod and play with the US knowing full well that we can't respond. The unipolar moment is kaput. How pathetic. Republicans used to knock the Clinton Admin for always talking tough and failing to follow through, well guess what they're doing now?

The resolution on Iran is reported today by 'Rediff India Abroad'.

Tehran is clearly coming under unexpected pressure from the international community.
"While ruling out any likelihood of Iran shutting down the uranium conversion facility at Isfahan as demanded by the [IAEA] resolution, . . . Larijani [an Iranian government representative] pointed out that the resolution did not mean that Iran's nuclear issue was being referred to the UN Security Council, but expressed unease that an 'atmosphere of ambiguity' was created.

"Larijani made it clear that Iran would now carefully watch how individual countries [especially the UK and India] adopted their stance on the issue and Tehran would not hesitate to 'revise its relations with any country which may adopt a harsh stance toward Iran or try to impose arbitrary conditions on Iran' over the nuclear issue."

Is there an international protection scheme for voters?

I doubt the voters can expect to be protected or offered petrol at a discount. Iran has played its hand quite well but the E - 3 have done more than most (I) expected. I like to think that I have the answer to everything or at least some sort of answer but I am clueless on how to stop Iran.
